During the English ‘Sayings of Wisdom’ (SOW) week held from 4th–8th May, students explored the core themes of responsibility, filial piety and the love of our country. These vital values reminded everyone to become better students, to care for their families and to respect and support our nation. Throughout the week, students participated in engaging lunch recess activities, which included playing at interactive game stalls, reciting inspirational quotes to help them internalise the values and writing heartfelt appreciation cards for their parents to show their gratitude. These joyful experiences provided a fantastic balance of fun and learning, successfully reminding students of the importance of character and community.

The English team organised a special activity for P.1 students. Teachers reviewed target vocabulary and sentence structures. Students watched a video to learn about various modes of transport, and then they designed and created their own vehicles. Finally, students had the opportunity to race their cars in the covered playground.

P.2 students dove into the fascinating world of China's Four Great Inventions during English classes! Students marveled at the brilliance of ancient Chinese minds. As part of the fun, P.2 young inventors designed and created their own magnetic cars!

Through hands-on exploration, students learnt about simple science and technology. They not only read English articles about ancient Chinese innovations but also crafted cars using eco-friendly materials. Each step—building, testing, and sharing—was filled with joy and enthusiasm.

English learning is fun! We can learn English anytime and anywhere. On 30th and 31st October, students participated in a variety of Halloween activities. During regular lessons, teachers guided students in writing Halloween riddles. On Halloween Day, students dressed up in creative costumes, enjoyed spooky stories, and played games at English language booths. They were excited to receive candy and practise their English skills. Students had a wonderful time on this special day!

Students were given the opportunity to perform on stage. P.2 students acted out the play "Lazy Charlie," while P.3 students performed "The Three Billy Goats Gruff."

To provide students with authentic English learning experiences, the English team organised an Ocean Park excursion for P.5 students. Through interactive activities and the unique opportunity to learn in nature at Ocean Park, students practised using English and learnt about animals and the importance of conservation.

The "Count Your Blessings" workshop was held in the covered playground during lunch recess to help students develop a sense of gratitude. Students wrote notes on thank-you cards and hung them on our tree of blessings.

To inspire students' curiosity and promote Reading Across the Curriculum, a science workshop was held for P.5 students. Students augmented their creativity and inquisitiveness through fun, hands-on activities and experiments. English books about technology and astronomy were also introduced.

The English and Math teams collaborated to create an immersive lunch activity. Students used English to inquire about prices and products, while English Ambassadors took on the role of shop assistants.
